Whether it’s a B2C or B2B, small or mid-sized businesses or nonprofits, at the end of the day it’s all about people. The people of Allegra in Burlington are ready to take on all of your Marketing, Print and Mail needs.
We’ve been working with businesses and organizations much like yours in the Burlington region since 1986 and we remain committed to you and our community.
My professional background prior to owning Allegra has been in the creative arts and graphic design, helping clients to effectively communicate their brands and messages. I recently completed my Marketing Specialist Certification (CMSTM) through the Canadian Marketing Association to help take our client’s marketing to the next level. This involved a certificate in Integrated Branding, Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Strategy, Direct Response Marketing and Marketing Math. I am Creative Central and Marketing Central Certified with the Alliance University and have passed my certifications with Canada Post. Outside of office hours I enjoy time with family and friends, walking my dogs, puttering in my garden, travelling and cottaging. I have also been known to make an attempt at golf on occasion.
I have spent my entire career in the print industry from running the presses to teaching college students. I joined Zippy Print in 1986 as their first press operator and quickly moved up the ranks by marrying the boss’s daughter! Today I enjoy making sure our clients have the high quality work they desire, delivered when they need it. I am Creative Central and Marketing Central Certified with the Alliance University and have passed my certifications with Canada Post.
After graduation from Durham College with a diploma in Advertising, I joined Zippy Print (now Allegra Marketing Print Mail) in their graphic design department where I happily created spectacular marketing collateral for our clients. After six wonderful years, I went off to expand my experience, managing another printing centre. In the spring of 2016 (after the promise of a magic wand) I returned to Allegra as their Fairy Godmother of Customer Care! I am currently working toward my BASI certification (Bachelor of Advertising Specialty Information) to help clients expand their brand beyond print and digital. When I do escape the office… I enjoy things and stuff. I am a proud founding member of MakerFare in Hamilton.
My professional background was in the press area of the print industry prior to joining Zippy Print in 1989 as their new Customer Service Representative. I have now been with the company through two generations of ownership and have just celebrated 28 years with Allegra. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my grandkids, working in my garden and touring (and maybe sampling) the vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula.
With a history in graphic design and architectural imagery for large scale corporate events and social media management, I love watching businesses build their brands through unique methods! The crazier the better! I am certified in Social Media Marketing through the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada and hold a high honours diploma in Visual Merchandising Arts (Hello, Retail Lovers!). When I’m not at my desk, you can find me chasing my children, with coffee in hand, while checking on client’s social media Insights!
The newest addition to our amazing team! After graduating from the Advertising & Graphic Design program at Humber College, I gained experience in the public and non-profit sectors, before finally settling into life in the private sector. My artistic passions include design for print, large format printing, and custom vinyl work. I take great pride in the accuracy of my design work. When I’m not pushing the mouse around the screen, you may find me cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs (BUDS ALL DAY!) or playing Dodgeball & Softball with chums.
With a diploma from Sheridan College for Media Arts and Business Marketing, I know just how important the fine details are in a client’s project. I have enjoyed a year of learning in the production area of Allegra and am excited to be working closer with clients in my new, expanded role. When I’m not putting band-aids on my paper cuts, I enjoy taking that perfect picture, cheering on the Buffalo Sabers and rolling outside with Maverick and Sadie (it’s really the main reason why I work here).
Sadie joined our team in 2010 when she was rescued from Attawapiskat, Ontario. She had big paws to fill, at the time, to keep up with her big brother Willis, but took no time at all convincing the staff, clients and courier drivers that she hadn’t eaten in months and deserved treats at each visit. Her girlish figure now tells a slightly different story. Sadie’s newest role is teaching Maverick the ropes and she has a small challenge ahead of her with that. If dogs could only role their eyes!
Maverick joined our team in July 2016 after a long journey from Alma, Quebec. He has settled in to life as a “working pup”, but still hates the car ride getting to and from work. He is an attention junkie, and has been known to charm staff and clients out of their banana! Maverick is still learning some office etiquette, but he’s a source of entertainment and stress relief for all of us.
Contact us today and say hello to your team. We are ready to get to work.
